Hertz Reintroduces 'Freedom Rates'
The Hertz Corporation has reintroduced its "Freedom Rates" program to help promote business and leisure travel in the United States. Rates, applicable at all Hertz corporate locations in the U.S., start at $20 per day for compacts, $30 per day on all mid-size cars and $40 per day on premium cars, minivans and sport-utility vehicles. Also, because of Hertz' extensive national network, the company will continue to offer a competitive one-way rental program at all corporate airport and suburban locations.
Joseph R. Nothwang, Executive Vice President and President, Vehicle Rental and Leasing, The Americas and Pacific said, "Freedom Rates are intended to help stimulate business and leisure travel as we all begin resuming normal activities in the aftermath of the tragic events of September 11, 2001. While the key to long term success in all segments of the U.S. travel industry is renewed confidence in air travel, the Freedom Rate program is intended to help travelers in the near term."
The specifics of the Freedom Rate Program include: -- Availability at all Hertz corporate locations -- airport, city and suburban locations -- through December 15, 2001. -- Prices ranging from $20 per day/$109 per week for a compact car, $30 per day and $140 per week for mid-size cars, to $40 per day/$179 per week for premium cars, minivans, and SUVs. Rentals must include Saturday night. "Ask for" FRDM. -- AAA Members receive additional discounts.
