Hertz Appoints Richard D. Broome as Staff Vice President, Corporate Affairs

The Hertz Corporation , the world's largest car rental company and a leading construction and industrial equipment rental business, has announced the appointment of Richard D. Broome as Staff Vice President, Corporate Affairs.

Mr. Broome will be responsible for all corporate affairs, including public relations, media relations and governmental affairs for Hertz' Worldwide operations. Reporting to Hertz President and Chief Executive Officer, Craig R. Koch, Mr. Broome is located at the company's worldwide headquarters in Park Ridge, New Jersey.

"We're pleased to have Rich join Hertz. With more than 15 years of corporate communications, governmental affairs and legislative experience, he will be a valuable asset to Hertz," said Mr. Koch.

Prior to joining Hertz, Broome was Vice President, Corporate Communications and Governmental Affairs for Selective Insurance Company, a regional multiline carrier, headquartered in Branchville, New Jersey. Also, he held counsel and regulatory affairs positions at Aetna, Inc., in Hartford, Connecticut.

He holds a B.A. in Government from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. In addition he holds a law degree from the University of Connecticut in Hartford. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar. Currently, he resides in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey.
